1What we collect
You can play without logging in. While you play alone or against bots, we receive nothing.
When you join an online room, your nickname and the ball weight you picked go to the server and are shown to the others in that room. While the room is open, each player’s rolls are held on the server so that someone who joins late or reconnects can have their screen restored. They are deleted when the room closes. This is the same whether or not you are signed in.
If you create an account we store your username, your nickname, a hash of your password and a hash of your recovery code. We never ask for, and never receive, contact details such as an email address or phone number. Passwords and recovery codes are not stored in plain text, so we cannot see them either.
When you sign up we may use Cloudflare Turnstile to block automated sign-ups. A script provided by Cloudflare then runs in your browser, and Cloudflare receives what it needs to tell people apart from bots.
To keep you logged in we set one session cookie. It only carries your login state and is not shared with other sites. Logging out removes it. For each session we also store the first part of the browser type your browser reports, and use it on the account page to tell your devices apart.
When you finish a game while signed in, we store that result on your account: the mode, the pins knocked down on each roll, the score, whether you won, which bots you played, and the time. That record also holds the aim, power and spin of each of your own throws, along with the physics version, kept so that a result can be checked later. Best scores, averages, achievements and unlocks are not stored separately. They are calculated from those results. If you are not signed in, nothing is sent.
Games played in a room with other people are stored the same way. We keep only how many people were in the room, not who they were.
We keep your account and its results until you delete the account. There is no separate retention period.
You can delete your account at any time from the account page. Deleting it removes the account and its records immediately.
2What is stored on your device
Your settings (language, ball weight, control scheme, graphics quality) and the ball skin you have equipped are kept in your browser’s local storage. If you customise the overhead screen, that image or video is stored in your browser’s IndexedDB.
This data stays on your device. It is never sent to a server and we cannot read it. Clearing your browser’s site data removes it. Images and videos you put on the overhead screen stay on this device even after you sign out.
If a game result could not be sent, it is held on this device until the next time you are connected.
3Where your data is stored
Your account and your results are stored on Cloudflare servers, and this site is served by Cloudflare as well. Cloudflare runs facilities in several countries, so your data may be processed outside the country you are in.
To run the service and find faults, request logs are kept. They contain the IP address, the address requested, the time, and the browser type your browser reports. These logs are not used for advertising or for building a profile.
4Visit statistics
We use anonymous, cookie-free visit statistics to see which pages get opened and how often. They do not identify you or follow you across other sites. The third-party cookies described under Advertising are the exception.
5Advertising
This site may show advertising through Google AdSense. Third-party vendors, including Google, use cookies or similar technologies to serve ads based on your prior visits to this and other websites.
Google’s use of advertising cookies enables it and its partners to serve ads based on your visits to this and other sites. You can turn off personalised advertising in Google Ads Settings, and opt out of third-party vendors’ cookies at aboutads.info.
6Children
This site is not directed at children under 13, and we do not knowingly collect personal information from them.
7Changes
If this policy changes we update this page and the date at the top of it.
